Many people have their own veiws on how gay men and lesbian women should be handled.  If you do not like my veiw then simply close the window and move on with your life.  I support gay marriages and love 100%.  I think that love is love and it doesnt matter your gender.  You can't judge someone on their sexual preferences.  It is the same as to be discriminated against due to the color of your hair, saying that certain people couldn't get married because they were blonde.  It is the same thing.  God gave them the gift of being blonde just as he gave certain men the gift of being gay.  Think about that...

There is a story that is reported by Fox News, telling how a women in india married a snake.  The comment left by the reporters was "If they allow gay marriage then with today's society, soon we will be supporting marrying our pets."  Gays and Lesbians should be very offended by this, because they are people, and they deserve to marry who they want.  marraige is about love, and if people want to marry their pets then they should be able to.  Who's to say who can and cannot get married?

FOR EVERYONE WHO THINKS GAY PRIDE IS NOT NECESSARY, READ THE FOLLOWING

Gay pride is not truly a way where people just go, "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M GAY! YAY!" No, it's a way to show that the homosexual community is fighting for equality and therefore must make themselves noticted (thus why there are gay parades).

Until homosexuals get the legal equality they deserve (I say "legal" because they probably won't be treated equaly in certain situations that are legal, just like other minorities) then gay pride will continue so the homosexual community can be recognized and not ignored. It helps people realize that "Hey, they're still doing that parade thing, aren't they? I guess they still need to be recognized and have their equal rights."

Yet once they are legally said to be equal and have the same respects of the law as everyone else does, then I can almost guarantee that after their is a huge celebration to celebrate the day when homosexuals got their equality, gay pride and parades will deminish greatly, and that only once every year will you see a big parade to celebrate that day the homosexual community got their equality.

And I look forward to the day where my GSA (Gay/Straight Alliance), and all other GSAs around the world, are not needed, because that will be the day when homosexuals are not so badly descriminated against, and though I know that may not come in several years, to quote Martin Luther King Jr., "I have a dream" and that's my dream.

Gay Pride is not about flaunting your sexuality. Gay pride has 2 distinct messages:
  1. A societal one, which says "You don't have to feel ashamed for being gay", and

  2. A political one, which says "We aren't going to shut up until we are given the same legal rights as everyone else".

Here are a few websites that are really helpful to understanding and helping show your support of gay, lesbian, and bisexual relationships.

It doesn't matter what gender you are attracted to, or what gender you are, you are equal with everyone else... shouldn't we all be created equal? Isnt that what we decided long ago to base the country of the United States on? ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL! Does that not mean anything to anyone?

"We cannot accept the view that Amendment 2's prohibition on specific legal protections does no more than deprive homosexuals of special rights. To the contrary, the amendment imposes a special disability on those persons alone. Homosexuals are forbidden the safeguards that others enjoy or may seek without constraint"
-Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority of the U.S. Supreme Court in the decision overturning Colorado's Amendment 2 referendum

How is this not beautiful?
